Creating tools for podcasters

The Podcast Contact Form WordPress plugin was created by podcaster Hank Davis.

As a podcaster, Hank understands how important feedback is to the majority of content creators. Many podcasters depend on their audience to help generate the content of their show/s.

One of Hank’s biggest frustrations is centered around how feedback is gathered. Many podcasters cobble together multiple services for obtaining feedback. This means most podcasters need to check:

  1. email account
  2. phone number voicemail account
  3. web based voicemail account
  4. Facebook group
  5. Twitter
  6. Website comments
  7. Old email accounts (if you’ve changed your email address new listeners may still use the old address until they catch up)
  8. Polls or single question – questionnaires you may have set up on other services

Hank found that gathering feedback was challenging for him because he had too many places to check and challenging for his community because they had too many options.

Hank designed Podcast Contact Form so he would have one call-to-action for his audience and they would have one location to remember. His email address could be changed without the fear of missing feedback. He no longer needs to search his website’s comments, check multiple voicemail services, or build polls on third party services in order to get high-quality feedback from his community.

The release of the Podcast Contact Form WordPress plugin is only the beginning.
